How to check-in
- If you see a red message which reads "Please select your current location" in the top-right, click on the "Location" drop down and select your office.
- Press on the “Full Name” field and begin typing your name. Suggestions will appear below the search box; when you see your name and email address, press it.
- Press on the “Temperature” field and enter your current temperature. Note: if your temperature is 37.8 or above, a warning notification will appear.
- Ensure that you have read and agreed to the Covid Declaration, confirming that all details are true.
- Press the button labelled “Check in”. You should hear a chime confirming your check-in, and the details of your check-in should appear on the right. If others have already checked-in before you, your information may not be immediately visible.
How to check-out
- Find your name on the right under the heading labelled “Employee Check-out” and press the button labelled “Check out”.
- In the confirmation window that pops up, press "Check out".
- You should hear a chime confirming your check out and your name should disappear from the list.
Reduce daily typing - QR Code scanner
For ease of check-in, the application includes a QR code scanner. The purpose of the QR code scanner is to reduce your daily typing. It does this by scanning a QR code that has been set up with your user details; meaning that you can simply scan the code instead of typing your name every time you check in.
How to set up a check-in QR code
- Go to a QR generation website (e.g., https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/) and ensure that the “Text” function is selected.
- Enter your information in EXACTLY the following form (Do not include spaces before or after comma):
- Firstname Lastname,emailaddress
- Download the QR code. You can then either open the image on your phone or print it and store it somewhere convenient (e.g., Lanyard, ID card holder, phone case, etc.).
- When signing in, instead of typing your name, press the QR code scanner button and scan the code. Your name will be automatically selected.
Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing issues with using the application, please try restarting it. To do this, swipe from the left edge of the app. Then, re-open "Safe Places Check-in Tablet".
If you are still experiencing problems, please submit an IT support ticket detailing your issue, including pictures if at all possible.
